The DISC 102 learning workshop will address issues that were identified in a survey circulated to Zone 28/32 DISCS who attended the learning session in Toronto in September 2024.
1. District International Service Committee. A deep dive into how to create and maintain an effective international service committee. This could involve developing more effective communication with and collaboration among clubs, encouraging them to become involved in international work, and helping them find the resources they need to be successful. It could also involve cultivation of effective partnerships across districts.
2. The District Resource Network
Learning how to invite the Cadre of Technical Advisors to support a project. Learning how to solicit assistance from Action Groups and Fellowships. Knowing when to engage various RI resources, Regional Grants Officers, Area of Focus Mangers, etc. The best method to find and vet host & international partners for global grants. Ways to share information, ie, International online café.

How to execute an effective community assessment.
4. Building Blocks to Impact
Learning how to increase a project’s positive impact, without incurring an unexpected negative impact. Managing an effective data/information measurement system. Learn about other DISC’s projects. Presenting to others our best and worst experiences with global grant projects and how to develop solutions to the problems.
